Galena Chalet – A Rare Find Sunny Side Retreat 1 Bedroom • 1 Full Bath • 2 Half Baths • Sleeps 4 Tucked at the foot of Telluride's sunny side, Galena Chalet is the kind of place you can't build anymore. While neighboring lots were pushed out to the property line, this home — owned by a longtime local who happens to be an author, chef, and anthropologist — was kept human-scaled, light-filled, and unmistakably curated to an exceptional guest experience. The result is a couples' mountain retreat with a soul: warm saffron walls, polished concrete floors, a corrugated tin ceiling, a hand-forged spiral staircase, and a chef's kitchen that has been carefully staged for those who enjoy cooking in. Just 2.5 blocks from Telluride's iconic Main Street, this home sits in one of the best front-row seats in the box canyon. Panoramic windows frame Bear Creek Valley and the Telluride Ski Resort from the kitchen and dining area. From the outdoor patio you can watch the 4th of July fireworks launch overhead, and during festival weekends like Bluegrass and Blues & Brews listen to the music without ever leaving the property.
